P.L.A.C.E. –

Public Lands for Agricultural & Community Enrichment

We are a non-profit (501[c][3]) organization working to develop a community-based solution for the Guilford County Farm through direct engagement with Guilford & Alamance County citizens.

Our Goals

To support agricultural best management practices and farmland preservation.

Hiking Trail

To gather, collect and share accurate and objective information that may impact the common interest of the residents within their counties.

To encourage local government and economic development authorities to work with members with residents of their counties to promote and defend the common interest of the region.

How You Can Get Involved!

Many are unaware of the agricultural, recreational, and educational potential the County Prison Farm holds as it was closed to the public from 1935 to June 2015. You can help change that.

  1. Contact our Alamance and Guilford Representatives
  2. Write to the local newspaper
  3. Place a yellow sign in your yard
  4. Stay informed through Facebook, Email, and this website
  5. Talk to your neighbors
